First Landing State Park Virginia Beach, VA Winter 2013

First Landing State Park is nestled  into the bottom right
corner of Virginia in Virgina beach.
The park is over 2500 acres of nature and boasts 1.25 miles of beaches.
The park is the site of the first landing of the Jamestown colonists in 1607!
First Landing State Park was built in part by an all African-American
Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933-40
First Landing is a National Natural Landmark and National Historic Landmark

Taking time out to go visit our neighborhood state park was the best possible decision. The foliage was beautiful and there were so many diverse plants, animals, and insects to see! I wish I would have gotten a photo op with some of the insects I saw but I was never quite fast enough! Humph!

As you may have noticed, this blog has been inactive for quite a while. For the better part of the last year, I have been focused on my education and my new career path and let all interests fall to the wayside. I had found myself at the quintessential crossroads that most people find themselves at in their twenties with my mind filled with anxiety and hesitations about my future, career, and goals. I had to really buckle down for a while to transition smoothly and now there is a little breathing room to nurture my hobbies and I am so excited to be back.

I am very excited to share and talk about some of the trends and major styles coming up next season! Forecasting strong color combinations almost to the point of "power-clashing" (& if you get that reference, you are my new Girls watching buddy) Lots of neon as accent to cool tone color combinations.

One thing that is coming up is New Years! I have never had a New Years resolution until this year. My resolution is to work harder at creating more content for this blog and to create a network of useful, informative, or just entertaining articles for you all to read and search. I have a lot of plans for 2014 and it's going to be the best!

Do you have any New Year's resolutions? What is it or why not?

Wishing you all the best,
LC Nguyen
